This position reports to the Director, Reporting Center of Excellence (RCoE). The Special Apps Reporting Sr. Manager is the business owner of special analytic applications (Rep AI, Onco-foresight, Genmed Foresight, etc) used within the commercial organization. Critical functional areas of this role include partnering with the business to understand requirements, identifying key business questions, rationalizing current tools, designing UI and functionality, analyzing and recommending applicable data sources and acting as a liaison between several commercial and technical teams (cDNA, DHI, Sales and Marketing, RAV, among others) to ensure the right operationalization of the apps in USBO. The main responsibilities include: 1) Change Management 2) App Operations, Maintenance and Evolution 3) Cross-functional collaboration 4) Training and Communication

Key Responsibilities:
  • Change Management
    • Design and implement a change management strategy to modify how executives, brand, and field teams interact with data by showing the value added of the analytic applications
    • Proactive engagement with executive, brand, and field sales teams to ensure organizational alignment as to how the app supports brand strategy and commitment to ongoing metrics
    • Execute metrics tracking at regular intervals, to monitor adoption and to assess impact
    • Organizational engagement, participation of team in company events/departmental meetings to promote awareness of project
  • App Operations, Maintenance, and Evolution
    • In charge of scaling up new technologies and apps to achieve full operationalization
    • Partners with the business teams, stakeholders, and end users to continuously track strategy to guide the evolution of the apps and products
    • Planning, prioritizing, and phasing demand/requests based on criticality, impact, budget, feasibility, actionability, and potential business value
    • Prioritizing backlog, by weighing impact and feasibility of each feature. Assessing business value, participating in vision setting, planning, and problem-solving and ultimately approving and defending the prioritization of incremental product enhancement
    • Define, implement, and document business rules.
    • Works with MAC as needed for User Interface (UI) changes and approvals
    • Oversee Issue Management process and tracking
  • Cross-functional Collaboration
    • In charge of overall cross system integration, connecting team with collaborators and SMEs as needed (e.g., IC, IS, Veeva/Compass)
    • Establishing and maintaining champion network engagements
    • Aligning prioritization across functions, facilitating the conversations to get all cross-functional teams/departments aligned to the same goal
    • Provides guidance and advice to team in terms of navigating conflict and potentially heavy conversations
  • Training and Communication
    • Lead training sessions, including training on updates to app
    • Owns development of training materials as needed
    • Development of pertinent communications supporting app including but not limited to executive update, SM Comms, FAQ documents, business rule documentation, etc.


Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree and 2 years of business analytics, data management and/or reporting experience

OR

Master's degree and 4 years of business analytics, data management and/or reporting experience

OR

Bachelor's degree and 6 years of business analytics, data management and/or reporting experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong client service skills excellent communication skills - written, oral, and presentation -- appropriately gauged to abroad range of audiences from senior leadership to front-line field staff and to peers in various disciplines.
  • Strong project management skills, with proven success influencing clients, customers, and team members
  • Cross-functional experience in Sales Operations functions, including Reporting, Analytics, Incentive Compensation, Territory design, Sales force structure, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate business requirements into innovative solutions
  • Experience with brand, sales and activity reporting, incentive compensation, Plan of Action, field systems solutions such as Veeva (salesforce.com), Javelin, and other systems such as Customer Master (Master Data Management solutions) and Reporting Solutions such as Tableau, Domo, Cognos, Spotfire, Micro-strategies, etc.
  • Deep knowledge of Pharmaceutical data including IMS DDD, Xponent data, Plan Track, Managed Markets and charge back data
  • Ability to adjust to changing needs within the organization and to change priorities
