Position Summary:

Join the Ophthalmology Business Unit and become a key member of the professional marketing team to drive the launch of a new orphan biologic (teprotumumab) for the treatment of thyroid eye disease.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop convention strategy to support engagement across key HCP stakeholder groups, including endocrinologists, comprehensive ophthalmologists, ophthalmology subspecialties (oculoplastic surgeons, strabismus surgeons, neuro-ophthalmologists), and infusion providers
  • Implement convention communication strategies including creation and coordination of exhibits, convention materials, booth drivers, and value-added tools
  • Work closely with marketing and sales leadership, sales training and internal cross-functional groups to develop and execute convention messaging, marketing initiatives and marketing materials to educate and engage stakeholders in the convention setting
  • Implementation of key promotional tactics within the professional marketing team to reach both target and referral physician audiences
  • Manage external partners (ad agency, meeting planners, market research, consultants) to ensure integration and consistency of strategies, message and tactics, in addition to working to ensure timeliness of deliverables
  • Leverage business insights and expert feedback to provide active input into the development and review of brand strategy, tactical plans and the financial plan
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the disease state, competitive landscape and therapeutic management of the space
  • Work with promotional review committee (PRC) to ensure that marketing materials meet brand & regulatory guidelines
  • Effectively and consistently execute multiple, simultaneous projects and manage resources to ensure deliverables are on time, on budget, and answer business objectives. Manage project timelines and budgets and negotiate with vendors to drive optimal value for the brand.
  • Contribute to the development of the annual brand business plan, create programs and tactics to support the strategy and champion that plan through engagement with cross-functional partners


Qualifications and Skills Required:
  • BA/BS in related field. MBA a plus.
  • 2-4 years of experience in marketing/sales preferably in the healthcare pharmaceutical industry.
  • Ophthalmology, Endocrinology, Rheumatology, and/or Biologic specialty product marketing or sales experience, preferred.
  • Experience working with multiple projects and managing multiple external vendors.
  • Must have strong planning, project management, communication, and organization skills. Ability to seize feedback and provide clear direction is essential. Flexibility to work in a fluid, fast-paced environment with multiple demands with initiative and independence required.
  • Ability to develop and execute on the principles of brand management, including brand positioning, messaging & overall campaign.
  • Work well with others in a very fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Professional, proactive demeanor.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Requires approximately 25% travel, including some overnight and weekend commitments.
