Intern - Bispecifics, Summer 2020

This position is in Bispecifics within Technology & Discovery Centers in Tarrytown, New York. Regeneron's bispecific platform is an industry-leading technology that allows for the generation of full-length bispecific antibodies (antibodies binding to two different targets or two different epitopes of the same target), similar to native antibodies. However, a broad spectrum of biology may require various targeting strategies with differences in both building blocks, such as antibody fragments, orientation and format in these bispecific or multi specific antibodies. This exciting internship opportunity will focus on generating a range of single domain antibodies based on in silico structure-aided design. The set of engineered domain antibodies will be evaluated with both stability and function. The ultimate goal for this project is to provide a proof of concept solution to create stable domain antibodies from our existing antibody pool from Veloci-mAb platform and offer solutions to both future multi specific antibody design and engineering design for domain antibody generation from Veloci-mouse.

• Must be pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's or PhD

• Must be pursuing a degree in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology and Immunology, or related discipline

• Desired technical skills include, but are not limited to, Basic molecular biology techniques, such as: PCR, molecular cloning, site-directed mutagenesis, bacterial transformation, DNA electrophoresis, SDS-PAGE, Western; Working knowledge or experience with ELISA, mammalian cell culture and protein expression techniques is a plus; Good multi-tasking, time management and organizing skills; Excellent communication (electronic lab notebook, report and presentation) and collaboration ability

General Intern Program Information:

• Must be enrolled in, or accepted to, an academic program pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, PhD or PharmD

• Summer Program is full-time (~40 hrs/wk) for at least 10 weeks and is paid

• Prefer demonstrated leadership in areas such as campus activities, clubs, sports or the community

• Minimum GPA of 3.0

• You will work with a specific manager on a project(s)

• Enjoy weekly 1 hour Intern Program events: learn about other areas of the company from VPs and other employees, soft skills workshops, networking, volunteering, and more!

• Present to your team on your summer project

Transportation and Housing:

• Housing stipend available for those students who meet mileage requirements

• A free shuttle is offered from the North White Plains or Tarrytown train stations to the Tarrytown, NY or Sleepy Hollow, NY campuses
