The student will help with engineering aspects for the development of those vectors, and will learn techniques and skills necessary to design, produce, titrate and characterize novel lentiviral vectors. The student will also test the activity of those vectors in cell culture-based assays, and assess their capacity to efficiently infect specific targeted cell types. Specific skills include molecular cloning, mammalina cell culture, recombinant virus production and titration, qPCR and proteins expression methods such as western blot and flow cytometry.
