The HRIS Administrator's primary focus is to provide administrative and system administrative support while maintaining the human resource information system(s) (HRIS). This includes responsibility for processing all transactional data for new hires, data changes, pay changes, benefits changes, etc. Other responsibilities include New Hire Orientation/On Boarding, supporting Talent Acquisition with offer letter process, performance management support, and special projects. The HRIS Administrator will work both independently and collaboratively interfacing and providing end-user support internally with HR colleagues, Payroll, Finance, management, and employees and with external stakeholders (vendors, etc.).

The company's drug product OMIDRIA® (phenylephrine and ketorolac intraocular solution) 1% / 0.3% is marketed in the U.S. for use during cataract surgery or intraocular lens (IOL) replacement to maintain pupil size by preventing intraoperative miosis (pupil constriction) and to reduce postoperative ocular pain. In the European Union, the European Commission has approved OMIDRIA for use in cataract surgery and other IOL replacement procedures to maintain mydriasis (pupil dilation), prevent miosis (pupil constriction), and to reduce postoperative eye pain.

Omeros has multiple Phase 3 and Phase 2 clinical-stage development programs focused on: complement-associated thrombotic microangiopathies; complement-mediated glomerulonephropathies; Huntington's disease and cognitive impairment; and addictive and compulsive disorders. In addition, Omeros has a diverse group of preclinical programs and a proprietary G protein-coupled receptor (GPCR) platform through which it controls 54 new GPCR drug targets and corresponding compounds, a number of which are in preclinical development. The company also exclusively possesses a novel antibody-generating platform.

What are your job responsibilities?

  • Supports the HRIS system(s) including any system implementations, workflows and processes, database management, configurations, upgrades, enhancements, assigning user security roles and permissions, and special system setup (benefits open enrollment, etc.)
  • Processes and tracks employee data changes (new hires, promotions, terminations, LOAs, etc.) with responsibility for completing all related transactional HR life cycle employee activities including but not limited to wage rates, direct deposit, benefit changes, 401k, and transit program; conducts regular audits to validate/verify data
  • Provides end-user system support including system training and troubleshooting, escalating issues and working with vendor(s) to resolve
  • Working with Talent Acquisition, creates new hire offer letters, promotion letters, stock letters, and PIIA's
  • Responsible for planning and conducting New Hire Onboarding/Orientation including new hire pre-notification to internal departments (IT, Facilities, etc.), collecting and processing all new hire paperwork (including I-9 forms and E-Verify), creating employee personnel file, processing new hire data within HRIS system(s), etc.
  • Processes terminations including preparing separation letter/documents, system data changes and notification of appropriate personnel to shut down system access (IT, Facilities, Compensation & Benefits Manager and/or external COBRA vendor, etc.)
  • Supports and monitors the annual performance management program and is responsible for creating and disseminating employee letters for merit, equity and bonuses, including system data uploads
  • Creates standard and/or custom, scheduled and/or ad-hoc reports including Affordable Care Act (ACA) reporting, Affirmative Action Plan (AAP) reporting, EEO-1 reporting, etc., as requested
  • Responsible for creating/updating monthly company organizational charts and the monthly headcount report
  • Maintains employee files
  • Responsible for HR department American Express purchases and reconciliation
  • Participates in HR staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars
  • Works with department to plan and carry out social activities
  • Assists with projects as needed
  • AA degree is required; BS degree and SHRM certification preferred or
  • 4 + years of related experience and/or training is required; an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered
  • Experience with Oracle Fusion or similar information system is required; experience with Taleo Onboarding is a plus
As our ideal candidate you'll need the following skills and knowledge:

  • An understanding of Human Resources functions
  • Strong computer skills in applications used in general office settings including HRIS systems (Oracle HRIS or similar HRIS system preferred), Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Excellent grammatical and proofreading skills
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks and projects concurrently
  • Ability to exercise independent judgement and escalate as needed
  • Highly detail oriented and organized
  • Must display strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to take the initiative

  • Intermittent physical activity including bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, or lifting to 20lbs.
