Kite is seeking highly motivated recent graduates to participate as an Associate in our Technical Operations Rotation Program in Santa Monica, CA. This two-year program provides a full-time opportunity to diversify their skill set and gain cutting-edge industry experience across various business units. Associates will participate in four (4) challenging yet meaningful six-month rotations to gain a broad perspective of the operations process at Kite. Rotation functions could include:
  • Strategy and Business Operations
  • Manufacturing
  • Quality
  • Process Development
  • Supply Chain


Candidates applying for the Technical Operations Rotation Program should be enthusiastic and passionate about science and motivated to solve complex problems. Candidates must be able to take on a variety of roles in a fast-paced environment throughout the rotation program.

Basic Qualification:
  • Recent graduates (graduating from a B.S., B.A., M.B.A., or M.S. program by June 2020 or completed a B.S., B.A., M.B.A., or M.S. program within a year from June 2020)


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Preferred disciplines: chemical and biochemical engineering, biomedical engineering, bioengineering, analytical chemistry, biochemistry, chemistry, molecular biology, microbiology, biology, or business management
  • Ability and commitment to complete the 2-year Rotation Program in its entirety
  • High scholastic achievement
  • Natural curiosity and enthusiasm for biopharmaceuticals sciences and cell therapy
  • Comfortable with and welcoming of the pace and ambiguity at Kite and of the growing Cell Therapy world
  • Passion and motivation to make positive impact on Kite's Technical Operations organization
  • Ability to build and maintain exceptionally strong and highly effective working relationships with internal customers, partners and stakeholders
  • Ability to stay focused and on-point, and to raise problems or challenges in a productive and proficient manner
  • Ability to work independently and together with a cross-functional team
  • Ability to apply excellent problem-solving skills to technical challenges
  • Experience working in a professional capacity through operations or industrial internships
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Legal authorization to work permanently in the U.S. and not require sponsorship for employment visa status now or in the future (e.g. H1-B status)
