Your Responsibilities
The Manager Supply Chain Planning will be responsible for the planning of final product and raw materials
and centralization of activities related to supply chain flow.
Your Tasks
Provide leadership to a team of supply chain planners located in Torrance and Vista.
Oversee and drive supply chain activities for the S&OP as well as all raw materials.
Facilitate monthly demand forecast aggregation, including consensus between functions and stakeholders.
Monitor the demand plan performance throughout the month to provide detailed input to Sales and management for use in demand review and S&OP meetings.
Develop Capacity simulation process to run what if analysis and support an optimal utilization.
Provide suggestions for the creation of a monthly supply plan to the scheduling team.
Responsible for setting safety stock levels, managing inventory tracking processes and reconciliation and implementing inventory optimization opportunities for raw materials and final products in scope.
Interface with Sourcing team to secure long term supply continuity. Understand tradeoffs between cost and volume.
Partner with sourcing teams to allocate constrained components, ensure aggressive raw material inventory strategies are set, and ensure minimal material obsolescence.
Coordination with Warehouse teams and perform replenishment planning of materials
Create and drive continuous improvement of world-class demand planning and Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) processes.
Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to continuously optimize the Supply Chain strategies.
Your Profile
Master's Degree in Chemistry or similar field with minimum of 5 years' experience in Supply Chain Planning or
Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry or similar field with a minimum of 10 years' experience in Supply Chain Planning
Experience delivering the total demand plan through a S&OP cycle
Experience with planning materials and ensuring availability
Ability to measure forecast accuracy and determining root causes for deviations
Strong experience in ERP system.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data, set and derive actionable conclusions to inform forecast
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Expert computer knowledge, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to effectively organize, multitask, and work in a fast-paced, deadline driven work environment
Ability to communicate in a proactive and solution-focused manner, including keeping management aware of potential issues
Detail oriented with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems
Ability to work independently and manage one's time
Communicate effectively and ability to function well in a team environment
Preferred:
SAP Experience
MBA degree
