Responsibilities
The Immunology research group focuses on discovering innovative biotherapeutic medicines treating autoimmune diseases and related complications. We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated scientist with knowledge and experience of cellular and molecular immunology, who also shares our passion to help patients live with higher quality of life. Our team works in a dynamic and collaborative environment. Are you skilled at in vitro cell-based assays? The focus of our work is to independently design, develop and validate the immunology cell-based functional assays to test and analyze molecule activities, investigate the mechanism of action of biological drugs, evaluate performance in various animal disease models, and ultimately to deliver preclinical evidence for future clinical testing.
Key Objectives/Deliverables:
- Develop immune functional cell-based assays using immunology technologies (e.g. primary human and mouse lymphocytes, myeloid cell activation and differentiation, cytokine assays, multiple color flow cytometry).
- Screen and analyze data for protein or small molecule drugs.
- Investigate cellular signal transduction, develop cellular activity assays, cytokine/receptor signaling (western, qPCR, intracellular staining, confocal/image related techniques).
- Evaluate therapeutic molecules to provide efficacy evidence to advance molecule.
- Isolation, purification and culture of different freshly isolated populations of human and mouse blood cells for in vitro assays.
- Preparing cellular materials for genomic and proteomic assessment.
- Independently design and execute experiments, analyze, interpret and present experimental data.
- Adherence to good research practices, and laboratory e-notebook maintenance
