Amgen's Human Resources (HR) department is seeking an 8-month undergrad co-op to support the Leadership Development team within the Operations functions. In this role, the co-op will be scheduled to work 24 hours per week.

The HR Co-op will work side-by-side with experienced HR professionals at Amgen's Thousand Oaks location.

Relocation in the form of a miscellaneous allowance will be provided for eligible candidates.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Setting up and coordinating leadership development related events and trainings
  • Collecting program data and preparing program related metrics
  • Track progress, priorities, and deadlines of leadership development programs
  • Managing and maintaining team sites and program marketing materials
  • Processing and following up on purchase orders
  • Support team in recruitment and mobility related activities
  • Internal and external program communications
  • Assisting any day to day operations related to the Operations leadership development programs


Basic Qualifications

Amgen requires that all individuals applying for an undergraduate internship or an undergraduate co-op assignment at Amgen must meet the following criteria:

18 years or older

Currently enrolled in a full time Bachelor's Degree program from an accredited college or university with a 3.0 minimum GPA or equivalent

Completion of one year of study from an accredited college or university prior to the internship commencing

Enrolled in a full time Bachelor's degree program following the potential internship or co-op assignment with an accredited college or university

Must not be employed at the time the co-op assignment starts

Preferred Qualifications

Degree concentration(s) in human resources management or similar field

Ability to prioritize across multiple takes

Ability to work independently

Experienced using Excel, Word, PowerPoint

Experience with scheduling

Experience processing invoices in a financial administration system

Experience with SharePoint content management

Attention to detail and focused persistence in working through problems that may not have clear solutions
