Director, Digital & Patient Oncology Marketing

General Position Summary/Purpose:

The Director, Patient & Digital Oncology Marketing, drives marketing strategy across indications for Imbruvica. Provides positive leadership and productive influence across and around enterprise. Leverage data, analytics and strategic mind-set in all aspects of running the marketing component of the business. Exhibits P&L mindset. Effectively orchestrate work across internal teams and external partners including agencies as it pertains to digital and non-personal promotion marketing strategy, social, email marketing, and all support and CRM programs.

Manages and delivers digital activities including online direct-to-consumer initiatives, online media and promotional support, branded and non-branded web sites, intranet sites and online advertising. Manages the process of working closely with all brands, the agencies of record and other key suppliers to establish objectives and goals for e-initiatives, including online functionality, design, usability, and measurement of added value or impact. May manage third party partnerships to support all digital initiatives.

Key Accountabilities/Core Job Responsibilities:

  • Vision and Strategy: Provide overarching leadership and direction for Us Patient Marketing & Digital vision, strategies, plans and resource investment across indications. Align and lead the charge.
  • Leadership: Set tone and priorities for scale and scope of accountability. Influence and persuade across multiple external and internal constituents (stakeholders and partners). Lead and develop direct, indirect and cross-business team. Infuse AbbVie Ways of Working and Talent Philosophy in day-to-day leadership and management of the business. Uses coaching effectively and efficiently to create high-performing teams and elevate team's marketing skills and knowledge.
  • Action and Accountability: Determine appropriate action, execution, tracking and monitoring of Marketing Plans within marketing with Indication leads and with our Alliance Partners.
  • Market Awareness: Maintain focus on and consistently triangulate market dynamics, constituents' needs, and business priorities to determine best, market-advantaged course of action
  • Strategic Impact: Formulate and adjust business plans and actions to achieve business objectives and goals, including financial, constituents and market results. Grow and gain share and penetration. Take and recommend appropriate strategic decisions


Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent; MBA and/or Healthcare experience a plus
  • 10+ years of Patient marketing experience with strategic and tactile ownership of a broad range of programs including digital.
  • Fluency in digital marketing across platforms and tactics
  • Good organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines in an environment of competing priorities. Outstanding project management skills and experience managing multiple vendors, marketing partners and agency partners.
  • High-level strategic thinking with the ability to concisely translate complex scientific topics to the appropriate level for patients
  • Proven ability to collaborate and work cross-functionally to drive business results in a heavily matrixed, fast-paced environment
  • Strong leadership and ability to drive influence across stakeholders to set direction, align work efforts, and ensure outstanding execution
  • Ability to assess risks and benefits to make timely, sound decisions with various levels of information, and accept responsibly for meeting and/ or exceeding objectives
  • Ability to travel approximately 30% of the time
