Summary:
We are currently seeking a highly motivated Histotechnologist to join our team in the Oncology Department. The successful candidate will be involved in exciting projects directly related to our current Immune Oncology clinical trial studies. Using cutting edge Immunohistochemistry and In situ Hybridization technologies, our goal is to provide our clinical colleagues with supporting evidence to help to understand how our immune-therapies help to treat and potentially cure patients suffering from a wide range of different cancers. The candidate will work in a cross-functional environment, including close interaction with colleagues in Research and Translational Medicine.

Responsibilities:
We require a highly skilled Histotechnologist to prepare serial sections from biopsy samples - our downstream staining protocols rely heavily on the quality of the sections as this influences the quality of our chromogenic and fluorescent scanning and subsequent evaluation and analysis of the staining. Your role will be pivotal in helping us to provide solid back-up data to support and advance our Immune Oncology pipeline.

The successful candidate's responsibilities will cover many aspects of our current workflow with the potential to expand their skill set and learn new techniques and expand their role within the group.

• Proven track record working with human FFPE tissue

• This individual will be responsible for cutting control tissue such as tonsil for our IHC and in situ Hybdridization studies

• Experienced histotech who can accurately and reliably cut serial sections on limited amounts of tissue.

• Experience with sectioning biopsy samples is a prerequisite

• Experience with H&E staining on automated instrument

• Experience with Automated staining platforms and the maintenance of instruments and preparation of bulk solutions

• Responsible for receipt of clinical samples from outside collaborators, recording sample details and processing tissue

• Responsible for the scanning of slides on automated slide scanner, QC'ing images and transferring files to the server as needed

• Willingness to learn new techniques and desire to expand their responsibilities including working independently on the planning and execution of staining runs

• The successful candidate has to have strong organizational, computer and time management skills as well as the ability to work as part of a team and meet tight deadlines
