The Aging group is committed to discovering novel targets and innovative medicines to treat Age-Related Disorders through an enhanced understanding of Aging. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced scientist, to join the Aging/Age-Related Disorders Group to help drive our discovery and development efforts pertaining to mechanisms induced from in vivo biological experiments. It will be necessary to develop cell-based and animal models for testing of experimental therapeutics and for mechanistic biology studies.

This position requires a minimum of a PhD and/or MD, with at least 3 years of research post-PhD. Additional requirements include:

• Strong scientific credentials.

• Knowledge of state-of-the art technologies and approaches to support drug discovery programs.

• Strong command of academic or applied research efforts, scientific literature, and knowledge of key opinion leaders in the area.

• Candidates with prior expertise in a relevant age-related disorder are preferred, or in assays or studies focusing on a phenotype or mechanism associated with aging or age-related disorders.
The ideal candidate will have in-depth in vivo technical expertise, be hardworking, flexible, innovative and able to function effectively in a fast-paced environment. They will also have excellent communication skills and be able to work well in a team.

This position will require the individual to pass a physical before beginning employment.

The incumbent will be a strategic thinker who interacts and collaborates with project teams, peers and management in identifying and achieving discovery goals from both scientific and strategic perspectives.
