Manager, Marketing Operations I
General Position Summary/Purpose:
The Manager, Marketing Operations I, will support the development and execution of strategic programs for IMBRUVICA®. This position involves strategic oversight, planning and coordination, and tactical execution of advisory boards and thought leader engagement,. He/She will need to demonstrate successful support and execution of specific programs and tactics. Key Accountabilities/Core Job Responsibilities:
- Provide the strategic leadership, as well as operational ownership of the planning and execution of major conventions, regional conventions, sponsorships, and advisory boards.
- Liaison with respective brand lead to ensure seamless meeting execution of advisory boards
- Oversight and collaboration with key vendors responsible for tactical execution
- Develops formal Annual Plans with Compliance Operations
- Facilitates appropriate Transparency Reporting for applicable events
- Oversees and facilitates the creation of in booth content and interactive experiences
- Responsible for sponsorship oversight, budget management, and planning
- Develops metrics and feedback mechanisms to the field force regarding attendance and interactions at key events
- Support annual Strategic and Brand Plan process, coordinating across multiple internal functions and managing both input and output of plans and budgets
- Collaboration with internal departments including marketing, sales operations, legal, regulatory, medical affairs, payer/access, corporate compliance, and IT
- Lead projects through the internal legal, regulatory, and medical review process
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent with an advanced marketing education; MBA preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in pharmaceutical/biotech marketing or sales operations for specialty products; experience in Oncology or Hematology/Oncology preferred; sales experience a plus
- Strong project management and budget management skills
- Demonstrated analytical skills and the ability to think strategically and solve problems
- Proven ability to collaborate and work cross-functionally to drive business results in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working closely with field sales organizations to implement marketing programs with measurable business impact
- Ability to effectively manage multiple competing priorities
- Strong understanding of legal and regulatory environment in pharmaceutical promotions, pharma industry guidelines, and other compliance-related issues
- Strong interpersonal skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to assess risks and benefits to make timely, sound decisions with various levels of information, and accept responsibly for meeting and/ or exceeding objectives
- Ability to travel approximately 20% of the time
