Amgen is looking for self-motivated individuals, with strong analytical skills, decision-making, and leadership attributes, looking for an internship under our Emerging Talent Rotational Program. The objective is to develop future leaders with a blend of technical knowledge and soft skills (extra-curricular activities, leadership, and/or student's associations).

This internship will complete projects in one of our Operations functional groups. Examples include Manufacturing, Process Development (Drug Product or Drug Substance), Quality, Engineering, or Supply Chain.

We have several internship positions based in Thousand Oaks, CA. Candidates will be interviewed 1 - 2 times in 2019, and those selected will start their internships in the summer of 2020.

Amgen's 12-week internships offer meaningful project experiences that impact patient's lives. This internship provides the opportunity for executive and social networking events and to participate in community volunteer projects while providing a competitive compensation.

Limited relocation housing and/or transportation allowance may be available for eligible candidates.

Basic Qualifications

Amgen requires that all individuals applying for an undergraduate internship or an undergraduate co-op assignment at Amgen must meet the following criteria:

18 years or older

Currently enrolled in a full time Bachelor's Degree program from an accredited college or university with a 3.0 minimum GPA or equivalent

Completion of one year of study from an accredited college or university prior to the internship commencing

Enrolled in a full time Bachelor's or Combined Bachelor's/Master's degree program following the potential internship assignment with an accredited college or university

Must not be employed at the time the internship starts

  • Ability to work as a team player and/or independently, evaluate documentation and operations according to company procedures, interact constructively with peers and prioritize and meet deadlines
