Job Summary:

This role will assume responsibilities for USBD planning & analysis as well as support sales forecasting. The person will drive the USBD operating process and budget forecasting for commercial function's cost centers and advertising and promotional spend. In addition, this role includes of sales forecasting for commercial brands.

Responsibilities:
Financial Planning & Analysis - Manage the Annual Strategic and Operating Plans for the USBD, including:
  • Determine schedule and deadlines for all relevant groups ensuring we are able to deliver complete and accurate estimates by the assigned deadline, allowing for senior management review and input.
  • Analyze and interpret consolidated forecasts, ensuring completeness, targets are met and expenses are reasonable per function.
  • Manage reserve accounts and determine availability of funds for special projects.
  • Provide support to cost center and advertising and promotional spend budget managers.
  • Aid management in tracking financial goals and targets.
  • Maintain awareness of the financial issues within the company to assist with providing related meaningful analysis.
Sales Forecasting - Aid the Leader of Forecasting and Business Analytics in preparing Sales forecasts for mature products.
  • Provide sales forecasting in accordance with DSI models and procedures.
  • Effectively communicate forecast assumptions and results to management and partners.
Management Reporting - Design, develop and distribute reporting that provides clear analytical results for the USBD business owners and stakeholders.

Change Management - Continuously review financial procedures. Identify, develop and drive new processes, procedures and/or system enhancements to improve organizational efficiencies and cost controls while ensuring accuracy and controls are not compromised. Display cross- divisional leadership by enhancing reporting clarity and communication of key information among groups.

Business Partnership -
  • Act as a liaison between Commercial Finance and internal auditors, USCF Finance teams and USBD functions.
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of the business as well as business partner needs and ensure we are able to align with Finance objectives.
  • Educate business partners on financial issues, policies and procedures. Ensure they have clear understanding of deadlines as well as targets and goals.
Qualifications

Education/Experience:
  • Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; Bachelors in Accounting or Finance; MBA in Accounting or CPA preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in accounting and/or Financial Planning and Analysis-related work, pharmaceutical/R&D experience preferred.
Potential limited travel for accounting conferences/training up to 5%
