The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for developing and leading device supply strategies and driving cross-company initiatives. Staff will be responsible for managing the end to end supply chain for a key device supplier and partner with the supplier and Amgen cross-functional team to achieve objectives in identifying, establishing, modeling and monitoring key performance measures that will ensure supply and quality of our combination products.

Responsibilities:
  • Supply Chain pilar lead for Amgen Supplier Relationship Excellence (SRE) program for strategic suppliers with a primary objective to ensure supply, manage scale up programs, and reduce program risk.
    • Establish and maintain excellent communication lines with supplier and internal production planning partners and cross functional team.
    • Lead strategic supply chain objectives utilizing the SRE framework and partnering with internal and external stakeholders to drive shared strategic goals
    • Identify supply chain gaps, develop and implement mitigations.
  • Increase supply chain transparency (N-X, VSM, etc.) through the identification of critical device subcomponents and understand the subcomponent supply chain to actively manage and mitigate risks.
  • Work with Operations Risk Management to evaluate the supplier's Business continuity plans for alignment of expectations, the identification of gaps and improvement opportunities
  • Develop and implement short and long range supply risk mitigation strategies.
  • Identify, develop and implement end to end supply chain-related productivity opportunities (i.e. Lead time reduction, flexibility, supplier responsiveness, forecast accuracy, on time delivery, etc.)
  • Analyze, consolidate, and report demand and supply plans at the component / supplier level and provide supplier forecasts
  • Analyze company raw material inventory plans including inventory levels, scrap, inventory purchases, category spend and consumption and determine areas for improvement
  • Domestic and International travel up to 10%


Basic Qualifications

Master's degree and 3 years of Supply Chain/Operations experience

OR

Bachelor's degree and 5 years of Supply Chain/Operations experience

OR

Associate's degree and 10 years of Supply Chain/Operations experience

OR

High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Supply Chain/Operations experience

AND

2 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs or directing the allocation of resources

Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and lead cross-functional teams/outside parties (suppliers / CMO's)
  • 2+ years project management in a lead role (define, approve, develop milestones and metrics).
  • Experience with advanced supply chain replenishment programs - Pull, JIT, VMI
  • MBA
  • Knowledge of Combination Product interactions between device and primary container. (syringes, vials, elastomers)
  • GMP knowledge and background
  • Strong ERP knowledge
  • APICS / CPIM certification or equivalent
  • Six Sigma Green/ Black Belt or equivalent
