The Senior Budget Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the Commercial Data and Analytics (cDNA) organization's financial processes. The remit of this position is to manage day to day budget related activities across multiple cost centers, disciplines and external partners. This role will be responsible for maintaining consolidated cross-franchise budgets and coordination of Global and US budgeted activities within our group, with our stakeholders, with Global Strategic Sourcing and with our Finance partners.

The Senior Budget Coordinator's primary responsibility is to support cDNA in navigating and executing steps in our financial process. This includes submitting PO requests, training/helping teams complete Goods Received and troubleshooting invoice reconciliation exceptions. This individual will coordinate and maintain reconciliation of approved budget-to-target spend and will provide supporting detail for any variances. Additionally, this individual will support Accounts Payable close and accrual assessments.

This position will:
  • Facilitate timely, transparent and accurate management of the business unit's Outside and FE&O expenses
  • Facilitate the quarterly Forecast/Latest Estimate (LE) submissions and GM OPEX reports in partnership with finance for the cDNA
  • Execute the PO process, which includes opening requisitions, tracking invoices, payments and troubleshooting invoices in exception status
  • Train new business partners on cDNA budget and PO processes
  • Serve as a Point of Contact regarding budget questions/issues with our business partners
  • Enter Purchase Order Change Orders in procurement system
  • Assist business in setting up new vendors or modify vendor details

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree


Associate's degree and 4 years of budgeting or financial experience


High school diploma / GED and 6 years of budgeting or financial experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Working knowledge of accounting and Amgen related finance processes and standards
  • Working knowledge of MyBuy (Ariba procurement system), SAP, and EDW (Self-service reporting)
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and customer service skills
  • Ability to develop and build effective client and project team relationships
  • Excellent Project Management and coordination/collaboration skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Initiative for process improvement
