The Translational Research group at BMS is a multi-pronged investigational team with a wide array of technical expertise including multi-parameter cellular and soluble analyte assessment, immune cell functional studies, and next generation molecular analysis techniques. These experimental platforms enable the generation of hypotheses for disease indication and patient selection to help guide clinical development.



The successful candidate will be responsible for performing innovative research in the area of translational research in autoimmunity. This position requires knowledge of cellular or molecular immunology in the context of autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. This position requires experience with functional cell-based assays, cellular signaling and flow/mass cytometry, and/or genomic analyses. Ability to work with bioinformatics tools is a plus.

The ideal candidate would be able to work independently, and possess scientific reasoning and critical thinking skills required to design experiments to generate and analyze translational data to support early program advancement to the clinic. Flexibility and a willingness to work as a member of a large cross-functional team is key.

Scientist with a PhD in the area of Cellular Immunology, Molecular Immunology, Cell Biology or a related field, with 3-5 years of postgraduate working experience. Familiarity with translational research and/or human immunology is a requirement. Evidence of supervisory responsibility and project leadership, with good communication and presentation skills and evidence of a publication record in immunology in peer reviewed journals are considered key qualifications.
