Summary:
Using scientific knowledge and portfolio management skills, the Project Associate II will work with the Research Program Management (RPM) Team to develop tools and strategies to progress the research portfolio, including development of a research portfolio framework, identification of cross-functional impacts or interdependencies, strategic analyses, and leading projects to determine early identification of critical path activities and opportunities for synergy in the research portfolio.

Responsibilities:

Drug Discovery & Development: Combines scientific, technical, and industry knowledge with strategic planning skills to craft framework, identify gaps, and facilitate strategic management of Regeneron's research portfolio.

Communication & Team Management: Functions as an internal resource working within the RPM team and the Research organization, as well as a liaison with Development and corporate functions to ensure portfolio alignment and communication.

Project, Program & Portfolio Management: Partners with RPM and research colleagues to systematically document research areas, map scientific relationships, and track progress. Leads projects to identify critical path activities and opportunities for synergy in the research portfolio.

Process Implementation & Improvement: Contributes to culture of continuous learning and process improvement by defining, documenting, and assessing working/best practices and tools, and using metrics to inform data-driven decision making for process improvement.

Systems & Tools: Creates and/or maintains tools for research portfolio management and ensures integration and alignment across systems.

Requirements:
This position requires a minumim of a BS with 2+ years or MS / PhD with 0-2 years of relevant progressive project / program management experience in drug or technology discovery / development. Hands-on laboratory experience (molecular cloning, biological and biochemical assays) is highly desired.
