Job Details

The Program Compliance Senior Specialist (PCSS) is responsible for the compliant execution of all activities related to Global meetings, events, and individual customer engagements planned within AbbVie's Business Services Group.
Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Ensure compliance with country-specific laws and company policies for interacting with global Healthcare Providers (HCPs), Healthcare Organizations (HCOs), and Patients, as applicable.
  • Builds standardized communications templates and maintains training materials for internal and external clients related to interactions with global HCPs, HCOs, and patients.
  • Provides standardized training and guidance for Business Services staff and third-party logistic vendors to ensure the compliant meeting information and contract status is consistent across system(s) of record. Designs standardized responses for frequently asked questions for PCS team.
  • Ensures PCS team performs in a consistent and accurate way to ensure proper documentation is maintained and team is audit ready. Ensures hospitality compliance for face-to-face investigator meetings in accordance with clinical and OEC policies, procedures and guidance.
  • Review applicable vendor Statements of Work HCP-related projects and data are handled appropriately
  • Provide Business Owner onboarding and updates to ensure awareness and understanding of contract and hospitality compliance requirements per event
  • Partner with Various Teams within BSG and across AbbVie: Meeting Planners, Reconciliation, Payment, BSG Systems, OEC, Legal, Legal Privacy, Public Affairs, Patient Relations, Tax, Finance, functional Monitoring, and internal Audit. Collaborate with affiliates to confirm local compliance requirements and summarize for dissemination to PCS team.
  • Own the global waiver process as waiver country administrator and purchasing delegates, ensure waiver country and financial compliance for all Professional Service Agreements and confirm and follow country hospitality requirements.
  • Handle non-waiver contract process together with local affiliates ensuring program contract and logistical compliance are maintained per country-specific requirements for each affiliate. Consolidate and communicate changes to PCS staff as necessary
  • Lead team in ensuring global compliance for group and individual meetings and support training of BSG planners and third-party logistics vendors
  • Assess programs and processes and identify gaps in compliance and lead in the development of process improvements.

Basic:
  • BA/BS required. Master's degree desirable.
  • 5+ years of work experience.
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills as well as excellent communications skills
