Job Details
The Associate Director, Finance Development will build and execute on the overall strategy, design and implementation of Global Finance development by enhancing capabilities for the entire finance organization. This individual will lead or support a variety of projects and activities including the delivery of leadership training programs, conducting needs assessment, educating and consulting stakeholders in a matrix organization on best practices to drive talent outcomes and business performance. Position requires significant collaboration along with executive presence with Finance Leadership, Business Human Resources (BHR) and Talent & Development. This will also be accountable to the Finance Development Steering Committee (FDSC) and will align strategy with FDSC and activate execution plan.
Responsibilities:
• Create, build and execute a Global Finance Development strategy and in collaboration and alignment with the FDSC.
• Strategize with external partners (such as Gartner) and internal Abbvie Talent team to ensure we are creating a competitive best in class talent and capability development strategy for our Finance organization.
• Fully accountable for execution of all learning events which can include facilitation, development of event materials and overall logistics.
• Responsible for communications which could include bi-monthly Finance Forward newsletters, manage and update Finance sharepoint, and providing updates to Finance leadership.
• Partner with BHR and FDSC to coach/develop top talent within the organization and differentiate their development.
• Create and activate training plans that model our 70/20/10 development model. Execute personal and technical training, leadership development, Finance Academy, Career Fairs and work with Abbvie Talent Team to identify leadership training curriculum that meets needs of the finance organization.
• Deals with ambiguity; is able to make timely decisions without having the complete picture
• Embraces the ideas of others, nurtures innovation and manages innovation to reality
• Creates a learning environment, open to suggestions and experiments on improvement
• Bachelor's degree
• 8+ years in Human Resources Management with emphasis in Talent Management, Training & Development or Instructional Design practice and process development
• Exceptional stakeholder management and consulting skills
• Experience facilitating training programs. Demonstrated superior facilitation skills
• Proven experience leading teams directly and indirectly
• Effective in managing complex projects across multi-disciplinary, matrix environments
• Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to build executive ready presentations, communicate with executive audiences
