Amgen is seeking an Information Technology Operations Lead who will work on our Enterprise Platforms team reporting to Sr. Manager Information Systems. This key role will work out of Amgen's Capability Center in Tampa, FL. At Amgen, our mission is simple: to serve patients. We are looking for a leader who can help drive IT operations and support of key platforms in AID (Automation, Integration, Development) and Global Contracts and pricing system (GCPS). We are looking for someone who will serve as the primary interface between our team and clients across Amgen.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute support Roadmap including process improvements, incident reductions, automation, financial performance & total cost of ownership etc.
  • Key point of contact for Production outages and assist in resolution of critical system related issues/events.
  • Ensure system availability per our agreed Service Level Agreement's and implement proactive measures to reduce the number of incidents.
  • Ensure successful delivery of the monthly & other planned releases through teamwork, early engagement, reviews and controls and effective knowledge and support hand-overs
  • Effective interaction with key business constituents to facilitate transparency
  • Drive Global Contracts and Pricing Systems & Automation Integration Development related communications
  • Ensure that GCPS & AID Systems adhere to Amgen corporate, Good Manufacturing Practices and Sarbanes-Oxley(SOX) compliance requirements, including periodic audit
  • Drive rationalization of legacy platforms
  • Drive utilization of platforms
  • Work with IS shared infrastructure team & Platforms domain experts to plan & execute Production Disaster Recovery exercises.
  • Mentor support team members and coach them with their career planning
  • Govern demand for engagement of GCPS & AID services from external Amgen organizations
  • Serve as Scrum Master for Automation Integration and Development team
  • Conduct road shows to champion and share services provided

Basic Qualifications

Doctorate degree

OR

Master's degree and 2 years of Information Systems experience

OR

Bachelor's degree and 4 years of Information Systems experience

OR

Associate's degree and 10 years of Information Systems experience
Or

High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Information Systems experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • B.S. or M.S. or MBA degree is a plus
  • Able to organize, manage, and direct cross-functional teams to address and solve technical and business issues
  • Demonstrable experience in leading IT operations
  • Good understanding of the ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) process framework
  • Management experience in all aspects of an information systems environment
  • Working knowledge of technologies like Mulesoft, Automation Anywhere, JIRA, Confluence, Application Lifecycle Management and testing tools will be a plus
  • 7+ years of experience in the deploying and supporting of complex Enterprise environments
  • 5+ years of experience of operating in a global managed service environment
  • Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Portfolio and project management skills
  • Understand service models and ability to prioritize based on impacts to business operations
