KEY ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Leidos Biomedical Research is seeking a talented and innovative (Software Validation Engineer) resource with hands on Functional automation skills to join the CBIIT Support team.
The Software Validation Engineer will:
- Ensure each product release meets well-defined high-quality standards
- Develop comprehensive Software test plans, use cases and reports
- Plan for and develop automated frameworks and automation scripts
- Analyze and document results, report and track software issues, verify and validate fixes as needed
- Report statuses in meetings
- Work closely with other project team members and government personnel.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Possession of a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent from an accredited college or university according to the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. (Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education). Foreign degrees must be evaluated for U.S. equivalency
- In addition to educational requirements, a minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible job-related experience. Experience should include process, equipment and/or systems validation
- Experience with automation, developing automated scripts, executing and analyzing results for Web, Desktop, Java, Client Server applications including cloud-based applications
- Experience developing an automation framework and automated scripts using descriptive programming languages
- Experience testing RESTful web services
- Experience developing software test plans, requirements traceability matrix and reports
- Experience reviewing requirements and developing manual and automated scripts to validate the requirements
- Experience validating Application Programming Interfaces (REST, SOAP and Message Queues)
- Experience with performance testing
- Good presentation, written and communication skills
- Experience in analyzing, identifying, prioritizing, and managing software issues, and effectively working with developers in fixing, verifying, validating and closing software issues
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance
