We are building upon our solid oncology foundation and long-term commitment to patients by developing a whole new class of novel molecules - and we need top talent to ensure these molecules become medicines and realize their potential for helping patients .

The Medical organization is looking to add a Senior Program Manager to support the Aimovig and Tezepelumab teams. This is a key role whose overarching objective is to drive the development of the Global Medical Strategic Plan (GMSP) in collaboration with the GMAL (Global Medical Affairs Lead). The Sr Program Manager (PM) will be ensuring that deliverables such as medical education plans and insights plan are brought to completion. The Sr PM is a cross functional, collaborative role across many teams and partners identifying metrics, progress and concerns and then facilitating resolution as needed. This role will likely work on 2-3 products simultaneously.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Be the key point of communication to ensure execution of GMSP including goals development & regular tracking
  • Drive the establishment and approval process for the GMSP and ensuring alignment between local-region-global medical leads
  • Understand CMZ framework and ensure integration with WPTs through close partnership with the EGT & IBPT SPMs
  • Drive decision making within the Global Medical Affairs Team (GMAT)
  • Identifying key deliverables for each function and their inter-dependencies.
  • Implementing best practices and ensuring cross-functional alignment and accountability
  • Identifying project issues or resource gaps and facilitating resolution
  • Reinforcing proper decision making according to Amgen's Decision Making Framework
  • Monitoring and communicating progress and adherence to timelines
  • Facilitating resource planning, financial and capacity assessments
  • Conducting risk management, contingency and scenario planning using a variety of project management tools


BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Doctorate degree and 2 years of Project Management experience

OR

Master's degree and 4 years of Project Management experience

OR

Bachelor's degree and 6 years of Project Management experience

OR

Associate's degree and 10 years of Project Management experience

OR

High School diploma / GED and 12 years of Project Management experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5+ years' experience in pharmaceutical or biotech project or program management
  • 8+ years industry experience in Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical or Healthcare field
  • Experience in a role requiring broad communication across multiple groups, levels and interest groups with the responsibility of impacting change and results
  • Experience in tracking risks to project completion including prioritizing, managing resolution and escalation
  • Experience tracking projects in excel, one note or other electronic dashboard type of tool
