Amgen is seeking a Specialist IS Architect - Print Services to join End User Technology Operations and plays an integral role the delivery and management of print services across Amgen sites as the Global Print Service Owner. The IS Architect will report to the DWX Operations Lead, based out of Amgen's Capability Center in Tampa, FL. At Amgen, our mission is simple: to serve patients. This state-of-the-art center serves as a base for finance, information systems, and human resources professionals to make a meaningful impact at one of the world's leading biotechnology companies.

The Digital Workplace Experience (DWX) team is responsible for the design, development, delivery, and life cycle of Amgen's device and software management technologies and consists of cross-disciplinary IS professionals who understand how to deliver services that span both infrastructure and applications.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for managing global operations of the managed print service and ensuring consistent, on-site delivery of print services to end user customers. Activities involve maintaining print infrastructure, ensuring contracted service levels are met, and contract commitments delivered within cost targets
  • Act as primary source for advice for all print production needs of the client business units
  • Manage print projects from concept through delivery to market, and develop production strategies to decrease cost and increase efficiency and quality
  • Rationalize print ecosystem, identifying and developing opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
  • Lead print delivery teams to maintain infrastructure and to engineer technology improvements
  • Build ongoing customer relationships and become a trusted expert by utilizing advanced Print Services knowledge to meet client's/customer's needs
  • Implement print procurement and service management strategies to ensure that the most cost- effective product is achieved
  • Develop and manage relevant client and external supplier relationships


Basic Qualifications:

Doctorate degree

OR
Master's degree and 3 years Information Systems experience

OR
Bachelor's degree and 5 years Information Systems experience

OR
Associate's degree and 10 years Information Systems experience

OR
High school diploma / GED and 12 years Information Systems experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Background in print device and service management
  • Experience in operations and project management methodologies with experience in end user service management and continuous process improvement
  • Experience in ITIL-based Service Management. Primary stakeholder for ITIL processes: Incident, problem, release, change, configuration and service level management
  • Experience in vendor and contract management
  • Responsible for managing projects
  • Proficiency in Office productivity tools with strong communication, presentation and inter-personal skills
  • Experience leading small to mid-sized projects - planning, financials, end user communications etc.
  • Experience in managing enterprises with more than 20,000 users
