Job Details

The Senior Financial Analyst supports the AbbVie Commercial and Operations organizations, primarily at the affiliate level, for month end close reporting. Primary goal is to maintain the integrity of sales reporting detail in support of the financial consolidation and other varied uses of the product sales detail throughout the company.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Strong SAP knowledge to support COPA (Profitability Analysis Module in SAP)
  • Ability to grasp new concepts to quickly and efficiently understand and support FDH_CSM (Financial Data Hub_Consolidated Sales Margin) Data Mart
  • Continuous review of COPA data for accuracy and completeness
  • Ability to make manual adjustments in COPA if data did not flow correctly from SAP
  • Perform monthly close activities including posting journal entries in SAP and Blackline
  • Coordinate and assist directly with the FSS (Financial Shared Services) and/or Affiliates on the reconciliation of COPA vs GL data.
  • Communicate to Affiliates and management any remaining out of balance issues at the end of each month
  • Provide guidance and training to FSS/Affiliate/Area and other downstream system owners and organizations for proper reporting of sales transactions and use of the COPA and FDH_CSM
  • Work with Master Data Group/BTS to maintain and update elements needed for COPA/FDH_CSM
  • Provide support for SOX/Audit (External and Internal) testing and review
  • Assist in Special Projects and provide ad-hoc reporting and/or analysis as needed.
  • Support Product Sales and Cost Reporting (PSCR) system till de-commission end of December 2019


Basic:
  • Bachelor's degree required. Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting preferred.
  • Minimum 4+ years of progressive and related experience in Finance and/or Accounting.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong SAP General Ledger and SRM experience
