We are looking for a Quality Strategic Planning Lead reporting to the Senior Vice President (SVP) of Quality. In this role, you will serve as a key business partner to the SVP and be immersed in strategic and operational elements for the Kite Quality organization. This includes overseeing the portfolio of projects and establishing a data-driven framework to measure/monitor performance.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
  • Targeted focus on driving results and strategic initiatives through operational rigor, collaboration and cross functional/leadership alignment.
  • Uncover areas within the Quality function to drive performance and efficiency improvements while remaining focused on patient safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Develop performance indicator (KPI) dashboards for use by Quality leadership team to measure and manage the business.
  • Analyze existing data and industry best practices to ensure programs, processes, and initiatives are meaningful and aligned to the overall business strategy.
  • Perform cost-benefit, feasibility, and risk analysis for new initiatives and report findings to leadership team.
  • Develop and maintain detailed work plans on key initiatives which include identification of project tasks, clear milestones, and assignments of work project responsibilities, schedules, plans, resources, budget, and status reports.
  • Collaborate across multiple internal functions to manage employee, customer, partner and other appearances for the executive including prioritization of internal and external events based on impact and strategic goals, partnering on preparation and ensuring timely follow up.
  • Curate topical discussions for leadership team meetings and drive actions / follow-up process coordinating across both Kite Quality and other functions such as Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Process Development.
  • Travel as needed (up to 25%) with executive to customer/partner/analyst/employee meetings and events.

  • BA/BS and 10+ years of experience in Strategy, Stakeholder and Project Management or MBA/MS and 8+ years of experience in Strategy, Stakeholder and Project Management
  • Strong track record of strategic work experience across a variety of settings and topics in the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry
  • Proven ability to effectively manage complex and ambiguous projects, influence stakeholders without direct authority, effectively network across the organization and communicate with senior leaders all within a very dynamic, fast paced environment.
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, influencing and leadership skills will be essential
  • Demonstrated use of quantitative analysis to support decision-making
  • Ability to effectively communicate cross-functionally with all levels of management through exceptional verbal and written communication skill
  • Knowledge and demonstrated application of Six Sigma and/or Lean principles
  • Experience managing a program or portfolio of projects (> $1M)
  • Experience with financial management to ensure resource investment aligns with Kite's priorities
  • Highest level of integrity and management of confidential information
