Job Details
Candidates interested in the position must be willing to support occasional weekend and holiday work. In addition, the candidate must be willing to work different shift structures based on the team's needs, including Swing Shift 2pm-11pm, staggered shifts such as Tuesday - Saturday or Sunday - Thursday day shifts and regular Monday - Friday day shifts.
Key Responsibilities Include:
• Execution of Microbiology platform assays such as Bioburden, Water Membrane Filtration, Sterility testing, Growth Promotion of Media, Media Fill inspection and Polymerase Chain Reaction
• Operating and maintaining specialized equipment
• Data entry and approval using Laboratory Information Management Systems
• Quality systems support, including Deviation/Change Control ownership and controlled document revisions
• Implementation of laboratory/process improvements to ensure a productive and efficient work environment
Basic Qualifications
Master's degree
OR
Bachelor's degree and 2 years of Quality Control experience
OR
Associate's degree and 6 years of Quality Control experience
OR
High school diploma / GED and 8 years of Quality Control experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Microbiology or other Life Science
- Experience and training in aseptic technique
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment that requires performing multiple tests and critical activities within a shift
- Basic knowledge of the principles of Microbiology
- Laboratory Information Management Systems experience
- Technical and investigation writing skills
- Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities, leadership skills and ability to independently implement process improvements
