As we build our Pricing Organization, you will lead and drive critical Pricing & Contracting Strategy & Analytics initiatives for a rapidly expanding organization.

Position Summary:
The individual will play a critical role in supporting Pricing & Contracting Strategy & Analytics within Regeneron to support the commercial organization. The role includes providing leadership and analytical support to evaluate payer, provider and trade/distributor contracting strategies as well as contract performance tracking. The Assoc. Director will work closely with the Market Access, Commercial & Account Management to establish the strategy and bridge it to operational tactics, across the Regeneron Portfolio. The position will report directly to the Sr. Dir/Head, of Pricing.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide leadership and support for establishing pricing & contracting strategies for payer, provider, GPO and other channels, gaining approval, bridging strategy to execution and proposing corrective actions as market dynamics change
  • Partner with the Market Access and Brand Leads, to develop and execute strategies, manage contracts and address account specific contracting opportunities and explore expanded market opportunities
  • Contract analytics and deal development as risks and opportunities present themselves within accounts
  • Analyze contracting proposals including the potential return on investment, downsides of not contracting and elements of risk of moving forward including ASP and GTN implications
  • Work closely with the Corporate Account Managers to monitor market, product and account conditions as well as changes in laws and regulations and educate internal and external personnel on the implications of any such changes
  • Review contract language proposals, contract language changes and be able to articulate the rationale for language changes
  • Partner with Legal to ensure that all contract terms and language are accurate and fully compliant.
  • Collaborate with Government Pricing to incorporate "best price" implications into the analysis
  • Establishing key performance indicators, building performance dashboards, analyzing performance and recommending corrective actions to drive contracting initiatives resulting in growth and profitability
  • Support ad-hoc projects such as channel segmentation strategies, pull-through strategies and supporting tactics
  • Conduct Market Research as required to gain and incorporate external insights into the analysis.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required; Masters preferred
  • 8+ years of collective experience and technical/functional expertise in several of the following areas: pricing & contracting strategy & analytics, pricing, financial analysis, account management, market access
  • Pharmaceutical, Biotech or Payer experience - focus on Specialty / Rare Disease desirable
  • Extensive knowledge of the US payer & provider dynamic (eg. Buy & Bill) as it relates to pharmaceutical pricing & contracting
  • Strong analytical and project management skills required; including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and evaluate them through financial modeling
  • Solid working knowledge of Excel is essential
  • Experience with cross-functional, large scale initiatives with high degree of complexity
  • Working knowledge of conducting primary / secondary research
  • Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adjusting priorities as needed to meet deadlines
  • Strong problem solving and strategic thinking
  • Ability to work creatively and analytically with confidence in a problem-solving environment
  • Able to manage multiple projects and timelines simultaneously as well as other duties assigned by management
