Summary:

SharePoint Technical System Manager is responsible for managing Global Development (GD) Systems Build and Run activities pertaining to SharePoint.

The position requires subject matter expertise in GD processes and technologies. This individual is the right-hand team member for GD Systems SharePoint System Owner and interacts with GD SharePoint users and Corporate IT on the day-to-day support of SharePoint. The role requires excellent business analysis, business domain knowledge, deep technical knowledge of SharePoint as well as attention to detail. The SharePoint Technical System Manager partners with GD Systems and business personnel in understanding business challenges and proposes solutions and provides leadership on support processes and projects.

The SharePoint Technical System Manager will manage all aspects of the SharePoint for GD Systems including SharePoint/Office 365 implementation, customizations, development, and security. The SharePoint Technical System Manager must be able to work independently and creatively under general supervision and have excellent interpersonal, presentation and writing skills.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for ensuring day-to-day operational support of GD SharePoint to meet business expectations and requirements.

• Understands GD clinical development and clinical operations business domain very well and can analyze business challenges and present solutions

• Functions as point of contact for GD Systems SharePoint solutions in support of GDS Team members as well as the functional business units within GD

• Provide input to the implementation of new SharePoint based tools and applications and upgrades of existing customizations.

• Provides technical leadership and subject matter expertise on SharePoint projects to effectively manage business user expectations, timelines, and budget.

• Ability to oversee the work of contractors and outsourced Managed Service technical support vendors where applicable.

• Partners with vendors in keeping abreast of technology trends and applicability to business needs.

• Works collaboratively with Corporate IT in the management of enterprise SharePoint platform, the development and adherence to standards and governance, enterprise architecture and common infrastructure

• Act as a senior Business Analyst and interact with business, System Owner and SharePoint developers

Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree

• Life Science or Pharmaceutical industry experience strongly preferred and desired

• 10+ years' experience with SharePoint

• Experience with SharePoint 2013/2016 and Office 365 administration, customization, design and development

• Experience in Reporting with SQL Reporting Services

• Workflow Development using Nintex, SharePoint Designer and Visual Studio

• Comprehensive experience with PowerShell for SharePoint with ability to write complex scripts

• Experience with SharePoint Online administration, development and Office 365 migrations

• Experience with HTML5, XHTML, DHTML, XSL, XSLT, JavaScript, AJAX, jQuery and CSS

Experience programming in .NET 4.6+, VB, C#, ASP.NET ,SQL, C/C++, XLM, Visual Studio, TFS Experience with SharePoint Designer, Nintex form, Nintex workflow, InfoPath, Web Parts, event receiver, and SharePoint workflow creation.

• Experience as a SharePoint Developer in the analysis, design, hands-on development and delivery of web-based applications.

• Experience using jQuery, Java Script, PW Scripts, HTML, CSS, Client Object Model, and Service Oriented Architecture.

• Experience with SharePoint's application services framework including implementation, configuration, and usages of Search, Managed Metadata, and User Profile Services.

• 5+ years SharePoint 2013/2016/O365 Designing and Developing Applications certification is required, Microsoft MCITP, MCTS certification is a plus. Mobile application development experience is a plus

• Ability to write Stored Procedures, write complex SQL queries, and ability to analyze the SQL data is desired.

• Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services, SQL Server Analysis Services, and/or SQL Server Integration Services a plus.

• Attention to detail and commitment to high quality/error free deliverables.

• Must be motivated, independent and self-sufficient. Able to receive an assigned task and see it through to completion with minimal supervision.

• Strong analytical, research and problem-solving skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
