This position is in Electronic Data & Discovery (EDD) within Amgen's Law Department. The Senior Associate Litigation Support provides technical support, business analysis and project management for complex matters as assigned by e-Discovery Counsel. This is an excellent springboard position for someone who has technical or business analysis experience and is interested in learning legal for a future career in Information Governance, Forensics or Law.

For every matter that employs technology tools and services, the Senior Associate Litigation Support provides support for the attorneys, paralegals, Digital Forensics, information system owners and vendors involved with the case.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support the operation of hold orders and conduct weekly preservation activities using Legal Hold Pro.

Coordinate with Digital Forensics and information system owners to respond to collection requests made by case teams. Track information requests from collection to review using Legal Hold Pro and other tracking tools.

Coordinate with outside processing/hosting vendors to ensure data is delivered and processed according to case specifications, timelines and budgets.

Act as technical point person for collaboration amongst managed review vendor, processing/hosting vendor and the case team.

Provide e-discovery consulting to inside and outside counsel as needed.

Support litigation software including Livenote, ocr processing, and internal databases in Microsoft Access.

Keep abreast of industry trends and assist with process and technology updates as needed.

Plan and manage other projects as assigned.

Travel may be required (less than 10% domestic & international)

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Master's degree

OR

Bachelor's and 2 years of information systems and/or legal experience

OR

Associate's degree and 6 years of information systems and/or legal experience

OR

High school diploma / GED and 8 years of information systems and/or legal experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

3+ years of experience in a technical support or business analyst role

Experience in electronic discovery

Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to advise all levels of personnel on complex technical issues

Strong organizational skills

Effective interpersonal skills to work with all levels of personnel

Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment working under strict deadlines

Flexibility to work overtime on short notice
