Amgen is seeking a Senior Associate - Communications & Change Management to work in our IS Communications & Change Management team in the Office for the CIO (OCIO). The OCIO is focused on developing and implementing change management strategies and change management/communication tools to drive IS transformation throughout the organization.

The Senior Associate will be responsible for supporting communication and change management strategies and processes that help increase individual and organizational engagement to achieve Amgen's business objectives across the Information Services (IS) organization.

Key Responsibilities of the IS Senior Associate - Communications & Change Management will include:
  • Works with the IS Communications & Change Management team to execute on change management strategies and be an advocate for change management throughout the IS organization
  • Works closely with product teams to develop and execute change management/engagement activities for transformation initiatives impacting the IS organization
  • Participates in team meetings and key communications in accordance with established processes; identifies and implements process improvements where appropriate
  • Appropriately escalates issues that may impact IS strategy implementation through cross-functional coordination and engagement with key stakeholders
  • Develops compelling communications that clearly convey key messages
  • Works in partnership with internal and enterprise communications teams to ensure an integrated approach to delivering priority initiatives
  • Support preparation of metrics and document progress of ongoing projects and activities (status slides/dashboards)

Basic Qualifications:

Master's degree


Bachelor's degree and 2 years of Change Management and Communications experience


Associate's degree and 6 years of Change Management and Communications experience


High school diploma / GED and 8 years of Change Management and Communications experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Possess a natural curiosity for, delivering innovative, state-of-the-art communications approaches that drive targeted and high-impact results
  • Strong oral and presentation skills; ability to negotiate and persuade
  • Strong writing skills
  • Knowledge of, and experience in, change management and supporting transformation tools and processes
  • Ability to collaborate coordinate with functions and staff in the company and outside vendors to achieve communications and business objectives
  • Ability to navigate a challenging and dynamic environment productively
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to deal with rapidly changing priorities
  • Ability to interact with all levels of management, staff and vendors
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; enthusiastic, team player and self-starter; serious commitment to hard work and excellence
