Job Details
Qualified applicants will have a PhD degree in Statistics or Biostatistics and 1 year of experience generating solutions to problems presented by medical and commercial personnel within the biopharmaceutical industry in the Ophthalmology therapeutic area. In the alternative, employer will accept a Master's degree in stated fields and 3 years of experience as listed above. Qualified candidates will possess 1 year of experience in: current statistical methods, including linear and logistic regression analysis, Mixed effect Model Repeated Measurement, Multiple Imputation, Cochran-Mantel-Haenszel, Kaplan-Meier, Cox Proportional Hazards, machine learning, data mining, simulations; using SAS and R to solve statistical problems; sample size calculation software, including East, PASS, AddPlan, and Nquery; statistical methods to support Medical Affairs, including analysis using the clinical database for scientific meetings, publications, and internal decision-making (based on previously conducted randomized clinical trials); and statistical methods to support Health Economics and Outcomes Research, including meta-analysis, patient reported outcomes, studies using external database, HTA/reimbursement/value dossiers, and real world studies; and statistical programming to implement the planned statistical analyses. Must possess 1 year of experience presenting and explaining statistical methods and interpretation of results to both a technical and non-technical audience. Up to 10% international and domestic travel is required.
