Summary:
The Bioassay group in the Therapeutic Proteins Department seeks a Research Associate / Specialist to perform in vitro characterization of preclinical and clinical drug candidates in Regeneron's pipeline. Responsibilities will include sample testing to support preclinical development and development of cell-based assays to measure the biological activity of protein reagents and monoclonal antibodies (e.g. cytotoxicity assays and luciferase reporter assays) for transfer to a QC environment. Candidate must be able to work comfortably in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, and be able to work on multiple projects in parallel. The individual will also execute experiments to characterize preclinical antibodies to support regulatory filings. The ideal candidate will have experience with mammalian cell culture, stable cell line generation, luciferase assays, flow cytometry and bioassay automation.

The following requirements and responsibilities are required for you to complement our team:
Responsibilities:
1) Mammalian cell culture of adherent and non-adherent cell lines.
2) Characterize and optimize cell-based functional assays using engineered-immortalized cells.
3) Set up and run bioassays for screening and potency measurements.
4) Operate a variety of instruments including but not limited to HyperCyte, Accuri C6
5) cytometer, Cytoflex, ImageXpress micro XL, Victor, Hamilton, Envision Multilabel plate reader, etc.
6) Great attention to details and record keeping.
7) Experience with 384-well automation is a plus.
8) Ability to follow directions, learn new methods and flexibility to changing priorities.
9) Good communication skills, good planning and ability to meet deadlines.
10) Provide regular presentations/verbal updates.
Requirements:
1) Strong aseptic cell culture skills
2) Cell-based potency assays
3) Experience with luciferase based reporters
4) Flow cytometry expertise
5) Experience with Immunofluorescence staining procedures
6) Stable cell line engineering skills
