Intern - Tech Training (Statistics and Data Analytics), Summer 2020

Regeneron commercializes medicines for eye diseases, high LDL-cholesterol, atopic dermatitis and a rare inflammatory condition and has product candidates in development in other areas of high unmet medical need, including rheumatoid arthritis, asthma, pain, cancer and infectious diseases.

The Technical Training team is looking for an intern who is pursuing a degree in Statistics or Data Analytics. We are looking for individuals with a strong drive for continuous improvement and have a passion for analyzing data, identifying and implementing measurable enhancements in the area(s) of human performance, carefully considering different learning styles. This position will evaluate training consumption at IOPS to determine what is a "right sized" training program look like. The focus will be on how to teach very technical information in the most efficient manner while measuring the effectiveness of the training in a range of settings. The individual must have the ability to independently analyze data and be able to interface with employees throughout the business.

Potential Projects:

Evaluate Training Consumption to determine Right Sized Training for IOPS.

Problem Statement: Currently IOPS requires that a learner cannot exceed 10 SOPs / day. We don't know if that continues to be the right number for the business. We don't know if there is an alternative solution. We don't fully understand why people are going over the limit. Will it solve the problem if we lean out curriculum sizes and the amount of training? What is the right size of training on a daily and/or weekly basis that are optimal for learning at IOPS?
