Intern- Process Sciences Data Monitoring (Desk Based), Summer 2020

The Process Sciences Department supports commercial and clinical manufacturing operations with technical and scientific expertise, through process characterization, validation, investigations, and process data oversight.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Supports the implementation, expansion and continuous improvement of Regeneron's application for data aggregation and reporting system (Discoverant)

• Performs data analysis using statistical process control, process capability, multiple regression, and other appropriate tools to monitor manufacturing-scale process performance, identify trends, and support investigations

• Develops automated solutions that address specific analytical objectives and facilitate report generation and distribution of analyses

• Creates predictive models by applying advanced numerical and statistical techniques including multiple linear regression and multivariate analyses to analyze large sets of process data and generate predictive models

• Implements new data visualization tools and dashboard solutions

• Presents findings in poster or presentation format at group or interdepartmental meetings

• Participates in interdepartmental discussions

Desired Majors, Knowledge and Skills:

• Chemical or Biomedical Engineering, Biochemistry, Biology, Chemistry, Math, Computer Science, Business Analytics or applicable related discipline

• General understanding of basic biology, chemistry and engineering concepts

• Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills

• Knowledge of statistical analysis, word processing, spreadsheet, database management, graphing, and presentation programs

• Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask

• Flexible and able to adapt quickly to change

• Attention to detail

• Self-motivated learner with the ability to work independently and in a group setting
