The Oncology Medical Specialist is responsible for engaging Oncology specialists and other key Oncology customers within a geographical universe and settings including academic centers, large group practices, IDN's, and community accounts. The OMS will also be responsible for presenting clinically focused selling messages to create and grow revenue and to consistently deliver product goals. The OMS will demonstrate initiative, drive, and independence; takes ownership for meeting and exceeding individual business goals by demonstrating clinically-based and account management-based selling skills. This will be accomplished by managing performance and delivering results in a compliant manner with a high degree of integrity strictly following all Regeneron policies and in compliance with all policies and procedures governing the promotion of pharmaceutical / biological products in the US. The OMS is responsible for developing strategy and executing tactics within key accounts in the Oncology therapeutic area to generate market share. The OMS will develop strong working relationships with Oncology experts and all additional Oncology specialists in assigned geography as well as nurses and other important health care personnel and key patient advocacy support groups as directed. The OMS will work closely with collaboration partners, Reimbursement and Access Specialists, Regional Science Managers as well as internal stakeholders as needed to proactively address customer needs, market dynamics and trends and develop strategies which support brand and corporate objectives within their assigned geography. The OMS will participate and help lead initiatives to support sales success as assigned (e.g. participate in industry related congresses, local and regional meetings and medical conferences).


• Engage Oncology Experts and other key Oncology customers within assigned geographical universe and deliver clinically focused selling message to introduce launch cemiplimab, grow brand share and revenue and to consistently deliver product goals

• Partner with multiple collaboration stakeholders; Alliance Field counterpart(s), Reimbursement and Access Specialists and other stakeholders to proactively address customer needs, market dynamics and trends and develop strategies which support brand and corporate objectives in assigned territory.

• Develops strong working relationships with customers, collaboration colleagues and Internal contacts - Clinics, physicians, nurses, additional important health care providers, key patient advocacy support groups, collaboration teammates, Reimbursement and Access Specialist team, Clinical Nurse Educators, Marketing, National Accounts, Training and Trade.

• Conducts oncology-specific market profiling activities to ensure a deep understanding of regional and local health care delivery, influencers and payer systems by the oncology account team.

• Deep knowledge of applicable customers and markets (prescribers/HCPs/institutions/ organizations).

• Strategic account selling and management skills. Develop comprehensive territory/account/customer plans to drive achievement of desired objectives.

• Provide site level in-service training as required by account.

• Consistently demonstrates emphasis on the "total account call" insuring that all personnel in the account are educated on commercially available Regeneron products.

• Demonstrate initiative and drive.

• Develop strategy and execute tactics within key accounts in the Oncology therapeutic area to establish, generate and expand market share.

• Knowledgeable on relevant quality metrics, clinical protocols, care pathways, and relative cost of care.

• Proactively identifies business opportunities with assigned accounts and leads appropriate coordination of effort by the Regeneron Oncology account team, e.g. supports contracting pull-through with accounts.

• Gains deep knowledge of each assigned account through internal research and proactive gathering and integration of information from various stakeholders within the account, e.g. business model, relevant business metrics, unique challenges, and strategic goals.

• Develops a breadth of relationships within each account to ensure an understanding of each account's objectives, goals, and challenges and identifies approved Regeneron Oncology resources that are aligned to the customer's needs.

• Account interactions include, but are not limited to, Oncology "c-suite" executives, Oncology service line leaders and decision makers within large Oncology group practices, integrated delivery networks, Oncology institutions, Oncology physicians groups, and other Oncology key stakeholders who directly impact clinical practice.

• Develops and leads an integrated Regeneron oncology approach for product launch within each account. Proactively engages account team members to plan, effectively implement and evaluate launch activities within accounts.

• Demonstrates commitment to compliance through understanding of regulations and policies that govern customer interactions and consistent focus on ensuring compliance with them.

• Consistently works to improve disease state/product clinical knowledge and clinically-based selling skills via on-going training and POA meetings.

• Successfully completes all training requirements and proactively seeks to strengthen on-going scientific knowledge regarding disease-state, competitive products and healthcare trends.

• Plans, organizes, and sponsors local promotional speakers programs and activities.

• Plans, organizes, and leads unbranded patient / caregiver programs.

• Effectively executes short and long term strategic plans.

• Consistently demonstrate professionalism by completing all administrative tasks in a neat and timely manner and follow-up on prioritized initiatives that drive business in both the short and long term.

• Maximize budget allocated to the geographical territory assigned to support execution of strategies and tactics developed to generate and grow the business.


• Bachelor's degree mandatory.

• Master's degree or additional advanced education/certifications a plus.

• Minimum 2 years successful experience in Oncology sales (Dermatologic Preferred) or specialty biologic products preferred

• Buy and bill experience required.

• Demonstrated advanced clinically-based and account-based selling skills.

• Proven success and positive track record of consistent sales performance in complex markets with diverse customer segments operating with a high degree of integrity within compliance guidelines.

• Results oriented with a proven track record of success with product launches.

• Strong account management experience with analytical, problem-solving and planning skills.

• Minimum of (2) years of experience working with key thought leaders or high influence customers in large group practices, academic hospitals, or managed care organizations with a concentration in Oncology.

• Minimum 3 years of Part B "Buy and Bill" experience with biologics required.

• Current account management experience in calling on large Oncology group practices and/or integrated delivery networks.

• Strong understanding of the Oncology Dermatologic therapeutic area and the current Oncology marketplace.

• Strong peer leadership and ability to collaborate with and coordinate activity among individuals in different reporting structures within the organization.

• Demonstrate a passion and learning aptitude for science and is proactive in strengthening knowledge related to disease-state, treatment options and healthcare trends.

• Demonstrated ability to perform essential duties with minimal supervision.

• Demonstrate strong patient / customer focus.

• Experience developing and sustaining relationships with clinical experts.
