These positions are in Cell Culture Development within Preclinical Manufacturing & Process Development in Tarrytown, NY. There are 6 positions for Spring AND Summer (full time, about 7 months from January to August 2020).

These students will assist in the development of processes producing potential therapeutics using mammalian cell culture. He/she will use shaker flasks and bench scale bioreactors to evaluate protein production methods based on cell growth, cell productivity, and product quality. These efforts will support development of clinical, commercial, or continuous manufacturing processes. Additional small-scale, high throughput screening experiments will be conducted to better understand the metabolic profiles of our cell lines. The student may also assist ongoing efforts to characterize the precision and variability of analytical tools and process equipment. The student will develop skills in experimental design, medium development, sterile cell culture technique and data analysis, culminating in a final project and presentation.

• Must be a 2nd, 3rd or 4th year student

• Must be pursuing a degree in Biomedical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related

• Cell culturing, aseptic technique, data analysis

• Preference for students who have taken biology, biochemistry, chemistry, bioprocessing and/or related courses.

General Co-op Program Information:

• Must be enrolled in, or accepted to, an academic program pursuing a Bachelor's

• Program is full-time (~40 hrs/wk) and is paid

• Prefer demonstrated leadership in areas such as campus activities, clubs, sports or the community

• Minimum GPA of 3.0

• You will work with a specific manager on a project(s)

• Enjoy regular 1 hour Co-op Program events: learn about other areas of the company from employees, soft skills workshops, networking, volunteering, and more!

• Present to your team on your project(s)
