Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated research associate with excellent attention to detail, strong self-motivation, and organizational skills to join the growing Nonclinical Sciences group at Seattle Genetics, a leader in developing antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) for cancer patients. The Research Associate will perform experiments to evaluate the potential toxicity of drug candidates, study mechanisms of action, and contribute to the development of novel molecules. The candidate will also collaborate cross-functionally with multidisciplinary groups to improve efficiency and translational impact of our studies.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct and coordinate non-GLP toxicology studies to support regulatory submissions
  • Contribute to design of mechanistic toxicology studies to better understand the toxicity of novel molecules
  • Provide technical study coordination support across all aspects of non-clinical studies including protocol preparation, dose preparation/administration, clinical observations, sample collection, necropsy, and reporting
  • Collaborate with internal/external groups to manage sample transfer and study updates in timely
  • Fashion
  • Proactivity contribute to process improvement across all aspects of study management
  • Ensure the capture and integrity of study data

Requirements:
  • Ideal candidates will have 2-5+ years of prior research experience conducting nonclinical studies, with experience across all study phases of the study including technical proficiency in working with rodent models
  • Ability to collect and analyze data for reporting using standard software such as Microsoft Office and GraphPad Prism
  • Candidate must have great interpersonal skills to work collaboratively and possess excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and work in a dynamic environment

Education:
  • B.A./B.S. degree in Toxicology, Pharmacology, Biology, Cancer Biology, Cancer Genetics, Biochemistry, Immunology, or related fields in cancer research
