The Aging group is committed to discovering novel targets and innovative medicines to treat Age-Related Disorders through an enhanced understanding of Aging. We are seeking a research associate with experiences in molecular and cellular biology, studying both cell culture models and tissues from pre-clinical models. The successful candidate will be involved in validating and advancing various pre-clinical model projects for Age-Related Disorders of various types. This individual will perform in vitro work related to the projects and needs to be highly organized, flexible and motivated.


• Establish and perform in vitro assays; molecular biology expertise; cell culture work; transfection and production of new cell lines; design of CRISPR guides to produce new cell lines; immune precipitation and Western characterization of proteins; ELISA studies; molecular profiling including RNA production for RNA-seq.

• Primary cell and cell line experiments, including transfection and transduction

• Write protocols and study reports


This position requires a Minimum of a Bachelors Degree and 3 years of experience working in a lab. This experience must include:

• Cell biology

• Molecular biology

• Cloning; Western and RNA analysis... some background in aging or in age-related disorders would be helpful but not mandatory.

The ideal candidate will have in-depth in vitro technical expertise, be hardworking, flexible, innovative and able to function effectively in a fast-paced environment. They will also have excellent communication skills and be able to work well in a team.

Level will be commensurate with experience.
