As an Associate Director, Business Human Resources, you will be a trusted partner helping to shape our culture, support our business strategies and find and develop the talent necessary to make a remarkable impact on AbbVie and patients around the world. This key role will support US Sales & Marketing across multiple specialty therapeutic areas. In this position, you will understand the business strategy and partner with business leaders in Marketing and Sales to build and implement people strategies and tactics to support the business plans and achievements of both short-term and long-term strategic objectives. You will support two top-notch General Managers and their Sales and Marketing organizations including support for multiple specialty pharmaceutical sales forces. Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Serve as the primary strategic partner to the business, developing HR strategies, needs assessments and resulting HR solutions for U.S. Sales & Marketing.
  • Responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of all HR programs and services. Responsible for HR results in the business, including client satisfaction, HR effectiveness and associated financial results.
  • Establishes, builds and maintains strong relationships with key HR partners from all Centers of Excellence to ensure elements of HR are successfully coordinated to meet business needs; includes relationship management, leadership, HR roles & responsibilities, and service delivery commitments.
  • Be the ambassador of the HR organization to represent the services and resources available to the business and help manage the collective reputation of HR.
  • Develop, coordinate and implement HR strategies to meet organizational needs for the client areas supported.
  • Ensure actions and delivery of Practice and Service Centers align with overall HR strategy and meet the needs of the business.
  • Develop proposals and recommendations to resolve strategically meaningful issues.
  • Manage and leverage human and financial resources within scope of delivered project services.
  • Responsible for managing business needs of multiple senior leadership teams.
  • Identification of trends and new approaches to business processes


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 8+ years of diverse HR experience
  • 5+ years of experience as an HR Business Partner
  • Strong business acumen
  • Prior pharma experience (ideally Commercial) preferred
  • Knowledge of regulations and standards affecting the business
  • Project management experience
