Position Summary:

The Training Manager Inflammation BU will be responsible for overseeing the operational function of Inflammation BU training. This position will be based in Lake Forest, IL. This individual will help lead the ongoing development, implementation, and assessment of programs and initiatives that enhance and leverage product, disease state and sales knowledge throughout the field force.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver instructor led training programs on product knowledge, business planning (e.g., targeting, routing), and selling skills (customer engagement model, objection handling, account management)
  • Collaborate with internal departments such as sales and marketing, account directors, medical affairs, sales operations, compliance, and HR to design, build and deliver training programs.
  • Execute training programs at new hire training, national meetings, regional meetings, and other events
  • Collaborate with National Sales Training Manager, Sales Training & Development and Sales Leadership on projects that identify and address development needs for the sales organization
  • Sets a positive tone and high standard for the BU in terms of work ethic, culture, expectations, compliance and business ethics.
  • Demonstrates a tolerance for stress and the ability to make decisions quickly and assume risk in the face of uncertainty.
  • Monitors sales trends and results looking for opportunity to improve.
  • Understand the regulatory environment for our products and follow proper approval processes.


Qualifications and Skills Required:
  • BA/BS in related field. MBA a plus.
  • 2 - 3 years field sales experience in specialty products
  • 1 -2 years Sales Training or Marketing experience (headquarter based) preferred.
  • Experience in content development and Medical/Legal/Regulatory review processes preferred
  • Vendor Management experience
  • An understanding of Payer Landscape and Health Systems
  • Bachelor's degree from accredited college/university.
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple demands with a high level of initiative and independence required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Proactive, professional demeanor
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Requires approximately 20% travel, including some overnight and weekend commitments.
