Position Summary:

The Senior Manager of Commercial Effectiveness is responsible for the sales training function, including our Commercial systems, sales meeting management and field engagement across the BU brands. This position is responsible for new hire and advanced curriculum training, developing/updating and subsequent pull through of Commercial system enhancements, coordination amongst brand and senior management on sales meetings and coordination with sales leadership on appropriate field level engagement.

  • Serve as the BU owner for field CRM systems by identifying and collecting enhancement feedback, manage relevancy, development, testing, release communications plans and training.
  • Create, deliver and/or update a comprehensive CRM, disease state and product training curriculum specifically designed to address the needs of both new hires and existing personnel.
  • Identify additional training needs beyond disease state and product, and work with internal functions to develop and deliver strategic training initiatives (related to issues such as market access, data/analytics, territory management, compliance, etc.).
  • Act as a partner and point of contact with brand teams, sales force, to develop and deliver CRM and training initiatives that pull through key marketing strategies, tactics, and programs.
  • Consistently engage with the OBU sales force to ensure a deep understanding of the business and to identify specific CRM and training needs.
  • Facilitate planning and execution for key BU POA and NSM strategic meetings, including budget, agenda and alignment.
  • Ensure that all CRM and training content and activities are fully compliant with all relevant industry and Company policies.
  • In collaboration with brand Sales and Marketing Leadership refine territory level landscape, including conversion of Leads to Prospects to New business, and metrics and processes across our systems.

Qualifications and Skills Required:
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 5+ years of either pharmaceutical/healthcare-related, including sales experience, and/or teaching/training experience
  • Previous orphan and/or biologics experience strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience developing, managing and/or supporting CRM data systems preferred
  • Previous sales training experience (headquarter or field-based) strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience with content development, instructional design, and learning management systems (LMS).
  • Proven ability to facilitate training classes and workshops
  • Cross-functional project management experience
  • Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple demands with a high level of initiative and independence.
  • Professional, proactive, and collaborative demeanor.
  • Excellent written, platform, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability and willingness to conduct field travel, as well as to travel to sales meetings, client sites, etc. including overnight travel (>50%).
