Amgen's Global Procure-to-Pay Operations team (Global Procurement Operations, Accounts Payable Operations, P2P Governance and Vendor Master Operations) are looking for an authoritative AP Regulatory Reporting Senior Associate to join the AP Operations Team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring Amgen's Accounts Payable Reporting requirements are met timely to support Amgen's mission to serve patients by enabling our business partners to be able to buy and pay for required goods and services through effective, efficient and compliant P2P process.

The Senior Associate will report to the Senior Manager Finance and will work out of Amgen's Capability Center in Tampa, FL. At Amgen, our mission is simple: to serve patients. This state-of-the-art center serves as a base for finance, information systems, and human resources professionals to make a significant impact at one of the world's leading biotechnology companies.

Key Responsibilities

Diligently execute monthly and quarterly review of withholding from payments made to suppliers to ensure compliance to applicable requirements (e.g. IRS, Hacienda etc.)

Own and complete annual filings and remittances of 1099 (US Domestic), 1042 (US Foreign), 480 (Puerto Rico), T4A-NR4 (Canada) withholding

Drive the Unclaimed Property process. Perform due diligence reports and timely filing of UCP reports to various states

Perform diligence and validate tax forms (e.g. W-9 and W8) for completeness and accuracy and work with suppliers for corrections

Provide excellent customer service to resolve inquiries from Amgen's suppliers related to withholding and reporting

Collaborate with P2P Governance to ensure appropriate measures are implemented into the Procure-to-Pay policy and technology to stay in sync with regulatory requirements

Research and share up-to-date guidance related to the withholding regulatory environment to ensure vendors are setup accurately in the vendor master and invoices are processed with appropriate withholding

Basic Qualifications

Master's degree
OR
Bachelor's degree and 2 years of Finance experience
OR
Associate's degree and 6 years of Finance experience
OR
High school diploma / GED and 8 years of Finance experience
