  • Support the overall Supply Chain strategy by establishing, implementing and enhancing the analytics capability across the domains of Plan, Source, Make, Deliver and Return with the ultimate goal to deliver insights to proof and improve the AbbVie supply chain and ultimate AbbVie's product performance.
  • Lead a team of analytics professionals to deliver basic analysis up to advanced data science outcomes. The leadership focus of the Manager Supply Chain Analytics is around identifying the tools and skills required to advance and mature the analytics capability over time and translating this into active hiring and development actions.
  • Integrate the Supply Chain Analytics capability with Process, Master Data and Project Management activities to ensure we utilize analytics outcomes to improve our existing capabilities and/or create new capabilities

Major Responsibilities:
  • Leads the cross functional collaboration (people, process and technologies) to generate business value from data
  • Responsible for providing learning, collaboration and engagement opportunities for all levels of the organization around data science application within Supply Chain. Driving the data mindset within Supply Chain.
  • Managing, coaching and developing a (virtual/remote) team of approximately 8 professionals across various locations in the world. The direct reports are mid and senior level staff independently managing analytics initiatives and projects globally.
  • Leads the establishment, implementation and maintenance of the overall analytics roadmap within Supply Chain to ensure a targeted long term development of people, process and tools whilst focusing on short term value realization.
  • Setting strategic and tactical priorities to ensure efficient and effective use of resources (people, money and time). Lead and initiate all relevant discussions with BTS, Finance and other (potential) user groups and stakeholders to ensure alignment on analytics platform investments, tools selection and data domain enablement over the LRP.
  • Manage pipeline of analytics opportunities both On Request and Self Directed, balancing short term and long term outcomes supporting the analytics capability vision.
  • Drive and allow for innovation and experimentation whilst focusing on delivering results.

  • Master's degree in (Data) Science, Engineering, Economics or Business Management
  • APICS certification - desired but not required
  • 8 years' experience in Operations, Information Technology, Supply Chain management and/ or Financial management, 4 years' experience in managing professionals
  • Hands-on experience applying basic analytics tools and techniques - certification desired but not required
  • Proven capability to manage and implement change management programs
  • Ability to interface effectively in worldwide cultural settings and with intermediate level management to influence change
  • Strong cross functional collaboration with Information Technology (BTS), Finance and within Supply Chain at varying levels of the organization
  • Working Knowledge of SAP/JDA and/or other similar systems. Working knowledge of data science platforms and tools
  • Ability to translate and prioritize technology trends around data science to practical implementation
  • Strong leadership, problem solving, interpersonal and communication skills required
