The Specialist role is in the Development Supply Chain Strategic Planning and Operations organization. The Development Supply Chain Technologies team supports Clinical Supply Chain Planning, Customer Service and Distribution. The responsibilities of this role include acting as the business process owner for the clinical SAP solution in support of the clinical Order to Cash functionality and the implementation of new functionality supporting projects and process improvement.

Position responsibilities include:
  • Interpret customer's needs to identify potential opportunities.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives such as Innovative Study Design, Clinical Mobile Application, Temperature Monitor, Transportation, Investigator Sponsored Study electronic ordering, Carton Calculation, Logistic Service Provider Integration, and new shipper implementation.
  • Troubleshooting of technical incidents with end users utilizing both internal resources and outside organizations such as External Trial Operations (ETO).
  • Partnering with IS to assist with the resolution of technical incidents utilizing the Integrated Service Management (ISM) application. Point of contact for application issues, incidents and troubleshooting.
  • Role owner for SAP clinical roles. Document owner for business requirements for SAP system and SOPs.
  • Maintain training materials and training data in lower environments and perform instructor lead training in SAP.
  • Acting as primary tester for system enhancements and upgrades, which includes data preparation and defect resolution
  • Developing and maintaining area performance metrics data. Deliver regular progress updates in a clear and concise manner.


Basic Qualifications

Doctorate or Master's degree and 2 years of SAP and/or IS system experience

OR

Bachelor's degree and 4years of SAP and/or IS system experience

OR

Associate's degree and 10 years of SAP and/or IS system experience

OR

High school diploma / GED and 12 years of SAP and/or IS system experience

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with SAP Order to Cash functionality
  • Experience with SAP Plan to Stock functionality
  • Experience with SAP Security
  • Experience with Staging Tables
  • Experience with ETO systems and interfaces
  • Experience with data acquisition tools, such as Spotfire
  • Experience with IS management tools, such as ISM
  • Experience with computerized system validation testing
  • Experience with Project Management
  • Experience with Quality systems and processes such as Change Control and Deviations
