Post Doctoral Fellow - Oncology Research

The Amgen Postdoctoral program is committed to providing future scientists with an enriching environment to inspire innovation that will contribute to the development of human therapeutics.

We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral candidate in the area of cancer immunology, with a focus on elucidating how tumor cell intrinsic pathways impact tumor infiltrating immune cell function and the response to immunotherapeutic intervention. In particular, we are interested in identifying and characterizing novel genes and pathways affecting tumor cell properties that modify their crosstalk with immune cells in tumor microenvironment.

The successful applicant will perform independent research within the context of a highly collaborative environment and with access to state-of-the-art technologies and resources, including single cell RNAseq, human genetics, and in vitro/in vivo models of tumor-immune cell interactions.

The postdoctoral position is for 3 years.

Basic Qualifications

PhD at the time of appointment

Preferred Qualifications

Ph.D. in Immunology, Oncology, Microbiology, or Molecular Biology

Record of independent critical thinking and the ability to design, execute, and interpret experiments, as exemplified by publications

Expertise in immunology, immuno-oncology, or molecular/cellular biology
