Purpose of the Position:

The position provided support for the operation of the facility bulk chemical distribution system and waste management system. The role would be responsible for overseeing the loading, offloading, and connection of bulk solvents as well as monitoring waste accumulation.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for all operating activities associated with the facility tank farm including loading, offloading, and general care and maintenance of the area.
• Work with Facilities technicians to diagnosis and repair issues related to bulk solvent distribution or waste collection.
• Monitor facility waste accumulation and work with supply logistics for scheduling of waste vendors.
• Monitor facility bulk solvent system and coordinate with supply chain logistics for scheduling of deliveries.
• Develop and improve on procedures relevant to the operation and maintenance of the bulk distribution systems.
• May be responsible for chemical transport between buildings on campus.
• Must be work across different functions to coordinated schedules

Job Knowledge Required:

• High school graduate with relevant bulk chemical handling experience is required
• General knowledge of bulk distribution systems and/or chemical waste handing including making and breaking connection is strongly desired.
• Knowledge of cGMP or other regulated operations is preferred.
• Experience with pumps and pumping system is preferred.
