Summary

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic protein biochemist at a Senior Research Investigator level to join the Recombinant protein group. The candidate will be expected to lead a variety of efforts to design and generate protein or peptide antigens with a focus on membrane proteins. The candidate will be also responsible for identification and implementation of novel methodologies to enhance membrane protein expression, purification, and functional characterization.

Specific Responsibilities

Scientifically champion efforts to design and generate protein and peptide antigens with a focus on membrane proteins

Provide technical leadership in antigen design, expression, purification, cell line generation and functional characterization

Identify and implement methodologies to enhance membrane and soluble protein generation

Generate materials for therapeutic program immunizations and antibody screening

Design and produce immunogens for IHC reagents and for biophysical assays

Interface with project leads, antibody generation and translational teams

Qualifications

Ph.D. in Biochemistry, cell biology, structural Biology, or similar fields with over 4 years of industry experience

Extensive experience in generation and characterization of membrane proteins such as GPCRs

Expertise in in molecular biology, protein expression, purification, and functional characterization

Knowledge of cell line generation and gene manipulation via lentivirus/CRISPR

Familiarity with immunology and immune-oncology is a plus

Excellent time management and organizational skills

Ability to work in a multidisciplinary biologics discovery team
