Summary

BMS Oncology Discovery is seeking a highly motivated, creative and collaborative individual to play a key contributing role in advancing our innovative Oncology drug discovery pipeline. The selected candidate will work within a dynamic, cross-functional research environment, leading a team of scientists working closely with our In Vivo Pharmacology and Discovery teams. This team leader will provide ex vivo support for studies that address target/drug mechanism of action, pharm

acokinetic/pharmacodynamic relationships and biomarkers. The candidate will also support the development and characterization of pre-clinical tumor models. The ideal candidate will possess excellent knowledge of tumor immunology including experience conducting exploratory research on syngeneic tumor models, and/or xenograft mouse models. Experience with complex flow cytometry profiling of mouse immune cells is required and experience with ex vivo assays to interrogate immune functionalities of both T and myeloid cells is highly desirable. BMS is a highly matrixed organization and the successful candidate will work well within multidisciplinary teams to design, execute and present the results of studies.

Qualifications

A PhD degree with 5+ years of post-graduate research experience in tumor immunology, or a closely related field, is required.

Strong candidates will have familiarity with drug discovery.

Previous experience using multicolor flow-cytometry for TIL analysis and the utilization of ex vivo assays to assess immune cell functionalities is essential.

Previous experience with immunohistochemistry is desirable.

Previous experience developing tumor models is desirable.

Competitive candidates are expected to have a strong track record of independent and innovative research as evidenced by publications in top tier peer-reviewed journals.

Outstanding written and oral communication skills is required.

Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment is essential.
